Crawl Space Repair - Moisture in Wooden Joists

This photo shows moisture/humidity in a home's wooden support beam. On average an acceptable moisture reading for concrete is around 3.5 - 4.5 percent, for wood  is usually 10-16 percent. When there is high relative humidity in a crawlspace or basement the the subfloor and floor joists will swell and become heavy. When the relative humidity increases it greatly increases the chance of fungal growth and wood rot.
