Radon Gas Mitigation Photo Album: Radon Install in Stittsville
We had a project in Stittsville, Ontario. We installed a radon mitigation system and sealed up any cracks in the surrounding area in the basement.
The scope of the job
Reduce radon levels to meet safe indoor air quality standards.
Prevent future radon infiltration through the foundation.
Provide the client with peace of mind and a healthier living environment.
Recommended Solution
We proposed a comprehensive radon mitigation strategy:
Install a radon mitigation system to safely vent radon gas outdoors.
Seal visible cracks in the foundation to minimize radon entry points.
3. System Installation
The radon mitigation system was designed to create negative pressure beneath the foundation, effectively capturing and redirecting radon gas:
Installed a venting pipe system connected to a fan to expel radon gas above the roofline.
Ensured the system was quiet and energy-efficient to minimize disruption for the client.
4. Foundation Crack Sealing
We inspected the entire foundation and sealed all visible cracks using high-quality sealant. This step reduced potential entry points for radon gas, enhancing the effectiveness of the mitigation system.
