Our crew completed a project in Ottawa for a homeowner who was concerned about the levels of radon in their home. After an assessment of the home, we designed and installed a custom radon mitigation system to safely and effectively redirect gas from beneath the foundation and vent it outside the home.

To address the homeowner's comfort, we also installed a radon muffler to reduce operational noise and low hum often associated with the mitigation fans. To ensure long-term durability, a fan moisture guard was added to protect the system from condensation and moisture-related wear, helping extend the life of the fan and maintain consistent performance. We also sealed up any cracks that can allow the radon gas to enter the home. Sealing cracks and gaps helps keep the radon from coming in.

To manage groundwater, we installed a WaterGuard subfloor drainage system along with a WaterGuard port for easy access for future maintenance. Collected water is safely directed to a TripleSafe sump pump system, providing dependable protection during heavy rain and power outages. An Ice guard was added to the exterior discharge line to prevent freezing and ensure year-round performance.

To control wall moisture, we installed a cleanspace wall system, creating a durable vapor barrier that directs any moisture into the drainage system. Rim joist insulation was also installed to improve energy efficiency and reduce drafts in the basement.

Our Crew recently helped a homeowner in Orleans-Ottawa by completing a full basement waterproofing upgrade to address ongoing water concerns. Prior to starting the project, the existing drywall was removed to allow proper access to the foundation walls and ensure the system could be installed correctly from the ground up.

To keep water out and protect the basement long term, our team installed a WaterGuard interior drainage system along with a WaterGuard port for easy future maintenance. A Triple safe sump pump system was added to efficiently manage groundwater and provide reliable protection, even during heavy rain. To ensure year round performance, an Iceguard was installed on the exterior discharge line, along with a Rainchute EZ to direct water safely away from the foundation.

To finish the space, we installed basement to Beautiful wall panels, creating a clean, bright, and moisture resistant basement that looks great and stays dry.
